Our chef

We are proud to have an outstanding Michelin-recognized chef – Maia Acquaviva on our board. Maia was born and raised in Georgia, where she nurtured the love for traditional Georgian specialties from the very day this world welcomed her. It was Maia’s grandmothers who passed the authentic cooking secrets preserved in their family for centuries to her. 

In 2007, Maia moved to the USA to proceed with her successful career as a plastic surgeon. But even in a new country she never forgot her roots and brought a tiny piece of Georgia in her heart to New York. Having felt that her passion for cooking is taking over, Maia changed her surgeon’s scalpel to a chef’s knife. As one of Oda House’s co-founders, Maia is a passionate inspirer of our restaurant’s philosophy, guest treatment traditions, and food quality assurance.

Maia’s life motto is: “If you want something with all your heart, the entire universe mobilizes around you to make your wishes come true!”
